Living a Productive Life: Fruit

Scripture frequently employs fruit as a metaphor 

• for spiritual growth, character, and outcomes of faith.  
• Key passages illustrate how lives aligned with God produce visible, lasting results.

Vine and Branches

Jesus teaches in John 15:1-8 

• that He is the vine and believers are branches, 
• emphasizing that abiding in Him produces much fruit, 
• while separation yields none.  
• This highlights dependence on Christ for spiritual vitality and productivity.

Judging by Fruit

In Matthew 7:15-20, 

• Jesus warns to recognize false prophets by their fruits, 
• as a good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bad fruit.

Fruit of the Spirit
